What is Pownce
Pownce is sort of a Sharing Social Network which lets users send messages, files, links, and events to your friends.Pownce will let you post files,links etc though an interface which is similar to Twitter you can share the files,links,events etc Publicly with everyone or you can share it with all of your friends or may be you just want to share it with a few your colleagues or may be just want to share it with your best buddy.
Pownce Features
Once of my big favorite is actually the design of Pownce as i always think that first impression is the last impression always have a cool design before you launch any Web 2.0 application.The Pownce website is available in different color schemes the default theme is Blue but you can have black ,light green and a darkblue theme but i prefer the default theme.
You can also set notification options and privacy options so you can choose who sees your Personal and Contact Information.The Size off files you can send can not exceed 10mb but you have the option to upgrade to a PRO account which costs about $20 / year and lets you files up to 100 MB,the pro account also removes ads on your profile and yo you get a cool small PRO badge beside your name.
Pownce also has a Desktop application which lets you send and recive notes from your desktop you can checkout the application here

Pownce is good. But the fact that it lacks an IM client that helps us post updates is bad. Hope they bring such feature soon.
